課程內容：
延續LA 513 & 514 (Greek I & II)，使用之前所學過的希臘文文法來閱讀及詮釋新約約翰一書。
課程目標：
完成本課程同學應該掌握：
1. 藉希臘文文法去作新約原文釋經
2. 新約經文鑑別學的基本操作 (NT Textual Criticism)
3. 希臘字詞研究 (Word Study)
4. 希臘文句子圖解（Sentence Diagramming）的基本操作

課程作業：
1. Exegetical Exercise
• Scope: Chapters 1, 9–16 of Workbook
2. Sentence Diagram
• Starting from the 3rd week, we will start learning “Sentence Diagram”.
• Finish reading of Diagrammatical Analysis: Introduction, Important Tips on Diagramming, Chapter I, II (only the Greek sections)
• You are required to draw a sentence diagram for the first verse of each workbook chapter from the 5th to the 10th week.
• You are encouraged to draw your diagram using the tool Sentence Diagrammer in Logos Bible Software. You might also start your trials using pens and papers.
3. Word Studies
• Starting from the 6th week, we will start learning “Word Studies”.
• Finish reading of chapter 14 “Word Studies” in Going Deeper.
• Following a sample, write a word study analysis of the word πλάνη in 1 John 4:6.
4. Textual Criticism
• Starting from the 8th week, we will start learning “Textual Criticism”.
• Finish reading of the book Textual Criticism of the Bible (chapters 2 & 4, excluding sections of Hebrew).
5. Exegetical Paper
• Write an Exegetical Paper on 1 John 4:1-3.
• 4000-5000 words (excluding footnotes).
• Integration of insights from the whole course is expected.
• Draw a sentence diagram for the whole passage.
• “Interpretive Translation” has to be demonstrated in your paper.
