本課程旨在介紹 諮商理論與實踐之間的聯繫，以及如何將我們的信仰與心理健康學科聯繫起來; 並從福音派基督教的視角, 評估當前心理健康領域的主要諮商理論; 和認識當代諮商和心理治療中的宗教和靈性議題。學生將嘗試從自己的靈性旅程中, 找出激勵他們成為諮商師的動機、核心價值和個人熱情, 讓他們持續與其他人進行策略性對話以回應轉變。
This course is an introduction to the connections between theory and practice in counseling in relating our faith to the mental health disciplines. It also attempts to appraise the current major counseling theories in the mental health field from the perspective of evangelical Christianity. Students in this course will reflect what it means to be a Christian in the fields of counseling and psychotherapy; and understand religion and spirituality issues in contemporary counseling and psychotherapy. Finally, students will try to identify the motivation, core values and personal passions from their own spiritual journey that sustain their interest in becoming a counselor who engages others in strategic conversation to address change.
