A. 學員對象
神學生、宣教士/候任宣教士、差會同工及對宣教有負擔的教牧及平信徒領袖。
B. 課程目標
本課程之目的為要幫助學員對社會行為科學（如宣教文化人類學等）研究有基本理論與實踐的知識和技巧，學習在工場進行全面的實地考察和研究、搜集資料和分析，以民族誌述描說及分析目標族群的文化與實際情況，並討論向此群體實踐有效的宣教佈道策略，建立教會及培訓門徒與領袖。
C. 課程內容
本課程介紹社會行為科學的基本研究理論及方法，裝備同學在宣教工場及具體事工中進行全面的實地考察和研究、包括搜集資料和分析，並探討及反思如何建立有效的宣教佈道策略，進而建立教會及培訓門徒與領袖。
D. 科目要求
1. 完成閱讀指定教科書和指定閱讀，總頁數最少700頁。
2. 文化考察及個案研究：
- 兩次小型實地考察學習研究習作，在課堂口述報告及討論。
- 一次個案研究與分析，書寫分析及反思報告約1,500字。
3. 專文寫作（5,000至7,000字）：
- 選擇一個目標群體作研究，所設計研究計劃必須應用本課程的研究方法，作全面性的探討和研究。
