科目簡介 Introduction

教牧職份包括關懷與輔導會眾。在現時 千變萬化的社會中有著層出不同的個人身、心、社、靈的問題, 這些會眾面對的問題也自然成為了教牧的挑戰。本課程目的, 認識和探討 教牧輔導與關懷的四大支柱 (教牧在關懷和輔導中應有的角色):   照顧自己、照顧他人 (教牧作為照顧者)、對會眾的關懷 (屬靈導引) 和危機應對。課程內容除了認識在教牧職份中常見的哀傷和危機輔導工作之外,  還會探討 在不同的生命週期中和 教牧關懷個人和家庭的過程中, 信仰的力量和安慰。

 

學習目標 Learning Outcomes    At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to: 1.       認識教牧輔導與關懷的四大支柱 (教牧在關懷和輔導過程中的主要角色)  2.       認識教牧關懷與輔導的領域和價值   3.       明白人如何改變和教牧輔導的過程 4.       了解教牧關懷者的特質 5.       了解教牧輔導的應用範圍 6.       初步掌握教牧在危機處理中的責任和角色

Assignment I.   Class Learning Log  課堂學習日誌 

Students are required to select FOUR classes that they are most impressive of, and then prepare the class learning log by completing the following sample, which demonstrates how to integrate academic learning with self-awareness. Number of words required: minimum 2 000 words for EACH class learning log (total 8 000 words for this assignment). 

 (For details, please refer to the instructions to be given in class).

Assignment II.  Pastoral Interview  教牧訪談

Students are required to conduct one pastoral interview.  Select a pastor who is currently pastoring and involved with counseling in a local church. A list of questions that will form the basis of a minimum one-hour interview with him/her is provided. 

Tasks involved: 

➢ Interview ONE Chinese pastor who is currently pastoring and involved with counseling in a local church (please refer to the criteria below for interview);

 

➢ The interview should take at least an hour (this is an interview, NOT a counseling session). Please refer to the following for the interview questions.

 

➢ The interview should be audio-recorded with permission from the interviewee.  

 

➢ Your paper should include THREE parts:

 

i.           Please put down (a) his/her name, (b) age, (c) gender, (d) years of pastoral experience, and (e) what kind of pastoral care and counseling experience he/she has had;

ii.         With at least three themes (headings), write a summary of the interview (minimum 1800 words); 

iIi.        With at least three themes (headings), write a reflection after this assignment (minimum 3 000 words) – e.g. what you have learned from this assignment; what insights the interview gives you; what thoughts come to you when doing the interview or assignment.

受訪者必須: •       年齡 30 – 65 歲 •       華人牧者, 有至少五年 全時間本地牧會經驗   •       過去五年, 曾經參與本地教會「關懷牧養事工」   訪問內容 •       你如何定義 「屬靈引導」和 「實際輔導」 之間的 健康平衡?  •       當你傾聽身處深深情感或精神痛苦中的人時，你的核心理念是什麼？ •       如何判斷教友何時需要專業的心理健康協助，而不是牧師的輔導？ •       您能否分享您曾經幫助他人度過重大人生危機或悲傷的經歷？ •       你遇到過的最艱難的輔導案例是什麼？它教會了你什麼？ •       如何處理涉及深刻家庭衝突或教會內部分裂的情況？   訪談也應該涉及以下問題: •       您對心理輔導和心理學領域持何種態度？ •       這些態度的依據是什麼？ •       這位教牧如何將 輔導和心理學融入他的個人、婚姻和家庭的事工之中?

Philosophy and Approach •       How do you define a healthy balance between spiritual guidance and practical counseling? •       What is your core philosophy when listening to someone in deep emotional or spiritual pain? •       How do you decide when a church member needs professional mental health help instead of pastoral counseling?   Experience and Crisis Management •       Can you share a story about a time you guided someone through a major life crisis or grief? •       What was the hardest counseling situation you ever faced, and what did it teach you? •       How do you handle situations involving deep family conflict or division inside the church?   The interview should also address the following questions:  •       What is the person’s attitude toward the field of counseling and psychology? •       What is the basis for these attitudes? •       How does this pastor integrate, if at all, counseling and psychology into their ministry with individuals, couples and families?
